Sports Equipment Quality Inspector – Meerut | Cricket & Hockey Goods

About This Role

SG Sports Manufacturing, one of Meerut's leading cricket equipment producers, is hiring a Quality Inspector for its production unit. Meerut produces over 60% of India's sports goods — cricket bats, balls, hockey sticks, and protective gear — and SG is among the most recognised names in the industry. You will inspect finished cricket bats, balls, and pads against quality standards before packing and dispatch to domestic and export buyers.

Role Context

You will work on the quality check station at the end of the production line. Daily inspection volume is 300–500 items depending on the production batch. You will use visual inspection, weight checks, and physical stress tests to identify defects. Rejected items are tagged and returned to the rework line. You will report to the QC Supervisor and maintain a daily inspection register that is reviewed weekly by the production manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished cricket bats, balls, and protective gear against buyer specifications
• Perform weight, balance, and visual quality checks on each production batch
• Tag rejected items and coordinate with the production line for rework
• Maintain daily inspection count, rejection rate, and rework status log
• Assist in packing verification — correct labels, grade markings, and qty per carton
• Report recurring defect patterns to the QC Supervisor for process improvement

Requirements & Skills

• ITI in any trade or 12th pass with manufacturing experience
• 1–2 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing preferred
• Good eyesight, attention to detail, and physical stamina for floor standing work
• Knowledge of cricket equipment is an advantage but not mandatory
• Honest and reliable — quality decisions directly affect brand reputation
