Quality Control Inspector – Manufacturing | Kanpur | Diploma / ITI

About This Role

Sunrise Manufacturing Pvt Ltd is hiring Quality Control Inspectors for its plastics and industrial components manufacturing plant in Kanpur. You will inspect finished goods against buyer specifications, maintain rejection logs, and work with the production team to reduce defect rates. This role is suitable for ITI or Diploma holders with basic QC knowledge and a keen eye for detail.

Role Context

You will be stationed on the production floor and inspect output at key checkpoints — raw material incoming, in-process, and final inspection before dispatch. You will report to the QC Manager and your daily output is measured in inspection count and defect identification rate. The unit produces components for automotive and electrical equipment clients who have strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials and in-process production batches against specifications
• Conduct final inspection of finished goods before packing and dispatch
• Maintain inspection records, rejection logs, and daily QC reports
• Segregate rejected material and tag it for rework or scrap
• Operate basic measuring instruments — vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges
• Report recurring defects to the production supervisor for root cause action

Requirements & Skills

• ITI in Fitter, Machinist, or Electrical; or Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering
• 1–3 years of QC or production experience preferred — freshers from ITI also considered
• Ability to read engineering drawings and compare against physical dimensions
• Familiar with basic measuring instruments
• Attention to detail and consistent, methodical approach to inspection
