Role Context

You will be part of a small, high-output data science team working directly on the tools that Databricks sells to customers. This gives you a unique position: you use the same platform your customers use, which informs both your technical work and your ability to empathize with product experience issues. Collaboration with product, sales, and engineering is daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Build ML models for customer health scoring, churn prediction, and product adoption
• Develop feature engineering pipelines using Apache Spark and Delta Lake
• Design and analyze experiments to measure product changes and GTM initiatives
• Create data products and dashboards consumed by sales, marketing, and product teams
• Write and optimize PySpark and SQL jobs running on Databricks clusters
• Contribute to the team's MLflow-based model tracking and deployment workflow

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or Engineering
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and model development
• Familiarity with Apache Spark or distributed computing concepts
• Understanding of ML fundamentals — training, validation, and deployment lifecycle
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Plotly, or similar)
• Deep learning or NLP background is a bonus for certain team placements
