Amazon
Amazon is hiring Data Scientists I — the entry point for data science at one of the world's most data-intensive companies. You will work on supply chain optimization, customer personalization, advertising, or operations analytics, using data to power decisions that directly affect millions of customers.
Amazon's data scientists operate within two-pizza teams and own analytical problems end to end — from pulling data to presenting recommendations to senior leadership. DS-I roles are paired with a senior scientist for their first year but are expected to independently scope analyses within six months. Teams span retail, AWS, Alexa, Prime Video, and logistics.
Graduates who are data-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable presenting analytical work to leadership. Amazon rewards scientists who balance statistical rigor with practical business judgment — if you can explain a model's limitations as clearly as its outputs, you will succeed here.
Amazon is a global leader in e-commerce, cloud computing (AWS), and logistics. Its data science organization spans every business unit and operates at a scale that makes even simple analyses complex — billions of rows, real-time systems, and decisions with immediate financial consequences.
Apply via Amazon Jobs. Filter by "Data Science" and select entry-level roles. Expect an online SQL/statistics assessment followed by a virtual loop covering coding, modeling judgment, and Amazon Leadership Principles.
