Microsoft
Microsoft is hiring Data & Applied Scientists at the new grad level to join Azure, Microsoft 365, Bing, or Xbox teams. You will apply statistical modeling, machine learning, and experimentation to improve product experiences for hundreds of millions of users worldwide.
Microsoft differentiates between Data Scientists (analytics-focused) and Applied Scientists (model-focused). New grads in this program rotate through team matches based on skills and interests. You will have access to Azure compute, internal experimentation platforms, and cross-functional project teams from your first sprint.
Graduates who are equally comfortable with statistics and code, and who enjoy working across product, engineering, and business teams. You thrive when given a data question without a predefined answer and can work through uncertainty to reach a defensible conclusion.
Microsoft is a global technology company with over 220,000 employees, known for Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows, LinkedIn, and Xbox. Its data science teams sit within product divisions and drive measurement, experimentation, and ML-powered features across its entire product portfolio.
Visit Microsoft Careers and search "Data Scientist New Grad." Submit your resume and a transcript. The interview process includes a statistics/probability screen, a coding round, and a case study or product-sense discussion.
