Role Context

Landmark Associates serves plaintiff and defense law firms, insurance carriers, and administrative tribunals. The majority of files are deposition transcripts, insurance examination-under-oath recordings, and workers' compensation hearing audio. Turnaround is typically 48–72 hours with same-day options available for premium clients. Transcriptionists are assigned to specific firm accounts over time to build consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe depositions, EUO recordings, and administrative hearing audio verbatim
• Identify and correctly label all attorneys, witnesses, and hearing officers
• Apply precise legal terminology and procedural language
• Format output to meet court reporting standards or firm-specific requirements
• Deliver work within 48–72 hour standard turnaround or same-day rush windows
• Maintain confidentiality agreements for all client file materials

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of legal transcription experience
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation, insurance defense, and workers' comp terminology
• Typing speed of 65+ WPM verbatim
• Experience with deposition or EUO transcription format preferred
• US resident; background check and NDA required
• Professional communication skills for client escalation situations
