Role Context

EWR9 is a multi-level robotics-assisted fulfillment center processing hundreds of thousands of orders daily. Associates work alongside Amazon Robotics pods and are assigned to one of four main work areas: receive, stow, pick, or pack/ship. Most new hires rotate through departments during their first few weeks before settling into a primary role based on performance and preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming inventory shipments against purchase orders
• Stow products onto shelving units or robotic-pod-accessible bins
• Pick customer orders from designated shelf locations using a handheld scanner
• Pack orders into appropriately sized boxes and apply shipping labels
• Sort outbound packages onto conveyor lines by carrier and destination region
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Meet individual productivity targets while maintaining accuracy rates above 99%

Requirements & Skills

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 49 lbs repeatedly during a shift
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
• Basic English literacy to read labels, scanner prompts, and safety signage
• Reliable attendance and punctuality — essential in a shift-based operation
• No prior warehouse or logistics experience needed; full training provided
