Role Context

Meta invented React and Relay, and its frontend engineers work directly with — and contribute to — those frameworks. You will be embedded on a product team owning a specific web surface, responsible for both the user-facing feature code and the underlying component architecture. Web performance is taken extremely seriously here, with detailed metrics tracking Time-to-Interactive and Core Web Vitals across all major markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Build web features using React, Relay, and Meta's internal frontend infrastructure
• Develop and maintain reusable UI component libraries
• Optimize page load performance, rendering efficiency, and JavaScript bundle sizes
• Ensure accessibility compliance across new and existing web surfaces
• Write tests and participate in code reviews to maintain quality
• Contribute to Meta's open-source frontend projects when applicable

Requirements & Skills

• 2+ years of frontend development experience in a production web application
• Deep proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Understanding of browser rendering, performance profiling, and Core Web Vitals
• Experience with GraphQL or Relay data-fetching patterns is a strong plus
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Comfort with CSS, design tokens, and responsive layout techniques
