Meta
Meta is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure its services remain fast, available, and resilient at global scale. You will work alongside software engineering teams to build observability systems, automate operational work away, and respond to incidents that affect billions of users.
SREs at Meta are software engineers first — the role is deeply coding-oriented, not operations-heavy. You will be embedded with a product or infrastructure team and own their reliability posture: SLOs, alerting, capacity planning, and incident response. Meta's scale means that even small reliability improvements can affect hundreds of millions of user sessions per day.
Engineers who enjoy the challenge of keeping complex systems running reliably and are motivated by the scale of impact. You are a strong coder who also understands systems deeply, communicates clearly under pressure, and thrives on building durable solutions rather than manual fixes.
Meta operates one of the largest distributed service fleets in existence. Its production engineering culture prizes automation, blameless postmortems, and deep ownership of reliability. SREs here work on infrastructure that directly impacts billions of daily active users.
