Role Context

iOS engineers at Meta own features end to end — from architecture decisions through App Store release. You will work within a product team focused on a specific surface (Feed, Stories, Reels, Messaging, or Marketplace) and collaborate closely with design and backend engineers. Meta ships app updates frequently, so engineers must balance speed with quality across a massive and diverse device fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new product features for Meta's iOS apps using Swift and Objective-C
• Build reusable UI components and contribute to shared mobile libraries
• Profile and optimize app performance including startup time and memory usage
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality across release cycles
• Participate in code reviews and mobile platform design discussions
• Monitor crash rates and app health metrics post-release and respond quickly to regressions

Requirements & Skills

• 2+ years of iOS development experience shipping apps to the App Store
• Proficiency in Swift; familiarity with Objective-C is a plus
• Strong understanding of UIKit, SwiftUI, Auto Layout, and iOS SDK patterns
• Experience with performance profiling using Instruments or similar tools
• Solid grasp of mobile architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, or similar)
• Comfort with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and mobile release processes
