Role Context

You will join a web development team that manages 30+ WordPress sites for US-based clients. The team uses a shared hosting and staging environment, a Git-based deployment workflow, and a ticketing system for client requests. You will handle theme customizations, plugin configurations, content migrations, and performance audits — typically managing three to five client sites concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

• Customize WordPress themes using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Develop simple WordPress plugins to extend site functionality
• Configure and maintain WooCommerce setups for client e-commerce needs
• Optimize site speed using caching, image optimization, and query reduction
• Migrate content and media between WordPress installations
• Apply security best practices — updates, user roles, and hardening measures

Requirements & Skills

• Basic PHP knowledge sufficient for theme and plugin customization
• HTML5 and CSS3 proficiency with responsive design awareness
• Hands-on WordPress experience — building or maintaining sites
• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, Divi, or Gutenberg blocks)
• Understanding of basic SEO principles (meta tags, sitemaps, schema)
• Git basics and FTP/SFTP file management
