Role Context

You will be placed with a US SaaS product company whose backend is a Rails 7 monolith with PostgreSQL. The codebase has good test coverage (RSpec), a clean ActiveRecord layer, and well-factored service objects. This is a team where Rails conventions are respected, code reviews are thorough, and freshers are trusted to own features end-to-end with appropriate guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build Rails controllers, models, and service objects for new product features
• Write ActiveRecord queries and design database migrations
• Develop RESTful API endpoints consumed by a React frontend
• Write RSpec unit and integration tests for your code
• Debug production issues from Sentry or log alerts
• Participate in pull request reviews and daily standups

Requirements & Skills

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent training with Ruby experience
• Ruby language fundamentals and basic Rails conventions (MVC, routing, ActiveRecord)
• SQL skills for writing migrations and database queries
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub pull request workflows
• Understanding of REST API design basics
• A Rails project (GitHub or deployed) to walk through in the interview
