Role Context

You will join a remote iOS team maintaining a mobile banking application with over 500,000 active users. The app is a mix of UIKit (legacy screens) and SwiftUI (newer surfaces). You will start by fixing bugs and improving existing screens before taking on new feature development. The team uses Xcode Cloud for CI and TestFlight for beta distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain iOS app features using Swift and UIKit/SwiftUI
• Integrate REST APIs using URLSession or Alamofire
• Implement proper data persistence using Core Data or UserDefaults
• Write unit tests and snapshot tests using XCTest
• Fix crashes and improve app performance using Instruments
• Participate in remote code reviews and async planning sessions

Requirements & Skills

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with iOS development interest
• Swift fundamentals — optionals, closures, protocols, and structs vs classes
• Basic UIKit or SwiftUI experience through academic or personal projects
• Familiarity with Xcode and the iOS simulator
• Understanding of MVC or MVVM architecture
• An iOS app (even a basic one) to share during the interview
