Role Context

You will join a QA team running Selenium and Cypress automation suites for web applications. The team works in two-week sprints, and QA engineers are involved from story refinement through release sign-off. Freshers start with maintaining existing test scripts and graduate to writing new test cases for newly developed features within 30–45 days.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Cypress
• Execute regression and smoke test suites before each release
• Report, document, and track defects using Jira or similar tools
• Perform manual testing for exploratory and edge-case scenarios
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and diagnose reported bugs
• Contribute to test plan documentation and maintain test case libraries

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
• Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test scripting
• Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver or Cypress concepts
• Understanding of software testing types — unit, integration, regression, UAT
• Attention to detail and ability to write clear, reproducible bug reports
• Reliable home setup for remote work
