About This Role

Thoughtworks is hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer to join its Continuous Delivery practice on a hybrid basis. You will help engineering teams automate build, test, and deployment pipelines, improve cloud infrastructure reliability, and learn DevOps principles from some of the industry's most respected practitioners.

Role Context

At Thoughtworks, DevOps is treated as an engineering discipline, not an operations task. You will be embedded on a cross-functional delivery team and work alongside developers, QA engineers, and architects to build CI/CD pipelines, containerize applications, and manage cloud infrastructure as code. Onsite days involve pairing sessions with senior engineers — a core part of Thoughtworks' learning culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI
• Containerize applications using Docker and work with Kubernetes deployments
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Monitor application health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Assist with incident response and conduct post-incident reviews
• Pair with software engineers to improve deployment and build processes

Requirements & Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
• Familiarity with Linux command line and shell scripting (Bash)
• Basic Docker knowledge — building images, running containers
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and Git-based workflows
• Exposure to any cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) through coursework or personal projects
• Eagerness to pair program and learn by doing
