Role Context

Globant's studios are organized around technology specialties. As a JavaScript developer, you will be part of the Web Studio, working on projects that involve React, Vue.js, or vanilla JS depending on client requirements. Engineers rotate across studios every 12–18 months, giving freshers exposure to multiple industries and tech stacks early in their careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Build interactive web UI features using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Work with React or Vue.js components depending on project requirements
• Debug cross-browser compatibility issues and optimize JavaScript performance
• Consume REST APIs and handle asynchronous data using Promises and async/await
• Write unit tests with Jest or Mocha
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers in daily standups

Requirements & Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent bootcamp training
• Solid JavaScript fundamentals — DOM manipulation, events, ES6+ syntax, closures
• Basic experience with a frontend framework (React or Vue.js preferred)
• HTML5 and CSS3 proficiency
• Familiarity with browser dev tools for debugging
• GitHub or portfolio projects demonstrating JavaScript work
