Role Context

You will join a backend team building microservices with Python (FastAPI or Django REST Framework) deployed on AWS. The team follows clean code principles and maintains high test coverage. Freshers are paired with a senior Python developer for the first 90 days and graduate to independent ticket ownership after that period.

Key Responsibilities

• Build REST API endpoints using FastAPI or Django REST Framework
• Write Python scripts for data processing and automation tasks
• Work with PostgreSQL and Redis for data storage and caching
• Write unit tests using pytest with a target coverage above 80%
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate senior feedback
• Help document service behavior in internal wikis and API specs

Requirements & Skills

• Degree in Computer Science or demonstrated Python proficiency through projects
• Strong Python fundamentals — data structures, OOP, modules, and error handling
• Basic familiarity with a Python web framework (Django, Flask, or FastAPI)
• Understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
• Knowledge of Git version control basics
• Comfort working independently in a fully remote team
