Role Context

LinkedIn's ML teams work on recommendation systems, NLP, graph-based models, and generative AI for professional content. New grad MLEs rotate through team matching during onboarding before settling into a team. You will ship A/B-tested model improvements to production within your first quarter.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and improve ML models for job recommendations, feed ranking, or people search
• Develop feature engineering pipelines using LinkedIn's large-scale member graph data
• Run controlled A/B experiments and analyze impact on engagement and job seeker outcomes
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to define ML problem formulations
• Write scalable Python and Scala code integrated with LinkedIn's data infrastructure
• Monitor live model quality and respond to production incidents on the ML stack

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Statistics, or a related field (2024–2025 grad)
• Strong ML foundations — ranking, recommendation, or NLP project experience preferred
• Python proficiency and familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Spark MLlib
• Understanding of A/B testing methodology and statistical significance
• Exposure to graph machine learning or large-scale retrieval systems is a plus
• Professional communication skills and a genuine interest in the future of work
