Role Context

IBM's associate data scientists are placed on client delivery teams or internal AI product squads within their first few months. You will work with watsonx.ai, AutoAI, and open-source ML frameworks to build predictive models and NLP solutions. IBM provides structured learning paths toward IBM AI and data science certifications from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Build predictive models and NLP solutions for client use cases using Python and watsonx.ai
• Perform exploratory data analysis and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Develop and maintain ML pipelines on IBM Cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Contribute to AI project scoping and requirements documentation
• Apply IBM's AI ethics and responsible AI frameworks to model development
• Participate in Agile delivery cycles and sprint reviews

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's in Data Science, CS, Statistics, or a quantitative field (2024–2025 grad)
• Python proficiency with pandas, scikit-learn, or similar ML libraries
• Understanding of statistical modeling, classification, and regression techniques
• Basic SQL skills and comfort with data wrangling on structured datasets
• Strong communication skills — you will present to both technical and non-technical audiences
• IBM internship or academic capstone in AI/ML is an advantage
