Role Context

You will be embedded in a product ML team alongside senior engineers and researchers, contributing to model training pipelines, feature engineering, and evaluation frameworks. Google expects new grad MLE hires to ship real model improvements within their first two quarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ML training and serving pipelines using TensorFlow or JAX
• Run experiments to improve model quality on production metrics
• Write clean, testable Python and C++ code for ML infrastructure
• Collaborate with research scientists to productionize new model architectures
• Monitor model performance and diagnose degradations in live systems
• Contribute to internal ML tooling and evaluation frameworks

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Statistics, or a related field (2024–2025 grad)
• Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning)
• Python proficiency; familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX
• Strong math background in linear algebra, probability, and calculus
• Experience training and evaluating ML models in coursework or projects
• Ability to work in a large codebase with clear engineering standards
