Remote Quality Assurance Analyst Part Time Jobs Canada

TalentBridge Canada

Part-time Remote Canada

Job Description

TalentBridge Canada works with software development studios, e-commerce platforms, and digital agencies to ensure their products are bug-free, functional, and deliver an excellent user experience before they go live. Our remote QA analysts test web applications, mobile apps, and digital workflows — documenting bugs, verifying fixes, and maintaining test case libraries. We are looking for a detail-driven part-time Remote Quality Assurance Analyst to join our testing team from anywhere in Canada.

You do not need to be a developer to succeed in this role, but you do need a technical mindset and an instinct for finding what breaks. Our QA work spans exploratory testing, regression testing, and structured test case execution. You will work closely with project managers and developers, so clear communication about the bugs you find — including steps to reproduce and expected versus actual behaviour — is as important as finding them in the first place.

The Testing Process:

You receive a test brief at the start of each sprint, outlining the features to test and any known risk areas. You run through structured test cases, perform exploratory testing on adjacent functionality, log bugs in the project tracker, retest resolved issues when developers mark them fixed, and participate in the end-of-sprint sign-off meeting via video call.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual test cases on web, mobile, and API environments against defined acceptance criteria
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues beyond the formal test plan
  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports in Jira or Linear including steps, screenshots, and environment details
  • Retest resolved bugs and verify fixes do not introduce regressions in adjacent features
  • Maintain and update test case libraries in Notion, Confluence, or TestRail as features evolve
  • Participate in sprint planning and retrospective meetings to understand upcoming features and past testing gaps
  • Test across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems to ensure broad compatibility
  • Communicate testing progress and blockers to the project manager daily during active sprints

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of experience in software QA, UAT, or a technical testing role
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Linear, or GitHub Issues
  • Ability to write clear, detailed bug reports that developers can act on immediately
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile sprint methodology
  • Comfortable testing web applications across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and mobile browsers
  • Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman is an advantage

What Is Included:

  • $22–$30/hr based on experience and the complexity of projects assigned
  • 20–25 hours per week during active project sprints
  • Fully remote — work from any Canadian province
  • All testing tools, licences, and project access provided by TalentBridge
  • Collaborative team environment with experienced developers and project leads
  • Pathway to senior QA or automation testing roles for candidates who show initiative

If you have a methodical mind and a knack for breaking things in useful ways, we want you on our testing team. Apply today with your CV and a brief description of the most complex bug you have ever found.
