Job Description

WorkAnywhere Canada provides virtual receptionist services to professional firms, medical clinics, and growing start-ups across Canada. Our virtual receptionists handle inbound calls, message relay, appointment booking, and general front-desk functions entirely from their home offices — acting as a seamless extension of each client's team. We are hiring part-time Virtual Receptionists who can represent multiple client businesses professionally and simultaneously from anywhere in Canada.

First impressions matter enormously, and your voice is often the first thing a client's customers or patients hear. We need people who are warm, articulate, unflappable under pressure, and quick to learn the specific protocols and terminology of each client they represent. You will be provided with detailed call scripts, FAQs, and business-specific information for each client account before going live.

How Calls Are Managed:

When a call comes in, our platform identifies which client it is for and displays their script on your screen. You greet the caller in that client's name, handle the inquiry according to their protocol, take a message or book an appointment as appropriate, and log the call summary within 90 seconds of completion. Calls are typically two to four minutes long.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls for multiple client accounts using client-specific greetings and protocols
  • Route calls to the correct staff member, department, or voicemail based on client call trees
  • Take accurate phone messages and deliver them via email, text, or app notification to the client
  • Book and confirm appointments using client-specified scheduling systems
  • Handle common caller inquiries such as business hours, location, and service pricing
  • Escalate urgent calls and emergencies to the client or designated staff member immediately
  • Maintain call logs and message records in our platform after every interaction
  • Complete regular client knowledge updates to stay current on each business's offerings

Requirements:

  • Clear, professional telephone voice with excellent spoken English
  • French bilingualism is a significant advantage for Quebec-based client accounts
  • Fast learner — you will need to absorb information about multiple different businesses quickly
  • Quiet home environment with no background noise during call shifts
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a USB headset with noise-cancelling microphone
  • Previous receptionist, call centre, or customer service experience is preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $17–$22/hr based on call volume and number of client accounts handled
  • Flexible shift scheduling — choose morning, afternoon, or evening blocks
