Our transcriptionists work entirely from home across Canada, receiving audio files through our secure platform and returning completed transcripts within defined turnaround windows. We are currently seeking detail-oriented part-time Remote Transcriptionists to handle general, legal, and medical audio as our client base continues to grow.

Accuracy is the single most important metric in transcription. Clients depend on our transcripts for legal proceedings, clinical records, and published research — errors carry real consequences. We look for transcriptionists who are meticulous about every word, comfortable researching unfamiliar terminology, and disciplined enough to meet turnaround commitments without daily reminders.

How The Work Flows:

You log into our platform, claim audio files from the available queue based on your specialization, transcribe them using your preferred word processor and foot pedal, and submit the completed document before the deadline. Most files are between five and thirty minutes long. You choose how many files to claim per day based on your availability.

Core Responsibilities:

• Transcribe audio and video recordings accurately into formatted text documents
• Research and correctly spell industry-specific terminology, proper nouns, and technical language
• Apply client-specific formatting templates for legal, medical, or general transcription
• Proofread completed transcripts before submission to catch and correct any errors
• Flag inaudible sections, crosstalk, or poor audio quality using standardized notation
• Meet assigned turnaround times consistently — typically two to four hours per audio hour
• Handle all files and client data with strict confidentiality per our NDA requirements
• Communicate with the quality team if a file contains unusual content or unclear instructions

Requirements:

• Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM with high accuracy under sustained concentration
• Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure
• Ability to work with audio transcription software; experience with Express Scribe is preferred
• A foot pedal is required for efficient transcription — allowance provided after 30 days
• Medical or legal transcription experience is a significant asset for specialized queues
• Quiet home workspace free from background noise during transcription sessions

Compensation & Flexibility:

• $18–$26/hr equivalent based on audio-minute rate and specialization tier
