Our remote data team processes thousands of records daily from the comfort of their home offices, and we are looking to add a part-time Online Data Entry Clerk to our roster. This is a straightforward but detail-critical role that suits individuals who are accurate, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

You will be assigned to a specific client queue each week, processing forms, updating records, and verifying information against source documents. Work is volume-based and your output will be reviewed for accuracy at the end of each batch. You set your own hours within a defined weekly window, making this role ideal for students, caregivers, or anyone seeking predictable supplemental income.

What Your Day Involves:

You receive your daily batch assignment by 8:00 AM. You open source documents, key information into the designated database fields, flag exceptions for supervisor review, and submit your completed batch by end of the assigned window. Most shifts last between three and five hours depending on batch size.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Enter data from scanned paper forms, PDFs, and spreadsheets into our client database systems
  • Verify newly entered data against original source documents to ensure 99%+ accuracy
  • Identify incomplete, illegible, or conflicting records and escalate them appropriately
  • Maintain a consistent daily output rate as defined by your client queue targets
  • Organize completed files and archive processed documents in shared cloud storage
  • Attend brief weekly check-ins with your team lead via video or phone call
  • Report system errors, access issues, or data anomalies to the IT helpdesk promptly
  • Handle sensitive client data with strict confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

  • Typing speed of at least 50 WPM with accuracy above 98%
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Strong attention to detail — errors in this role have downstream consequences
  • Ability to work independently during a defined daily window without close supervision
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a personal computer with updated antivirus software
  • Previous data entry or administrative experience preferred but not mandatory
