Virtual Customer Service Representative Part Time Remote Jobs Canada

RemoteFirst Canada

Part-time Remote Canada

Job Description

RemoteFirst Canada is a growing customer experience company that partners with brands across retail, fintech, and SaaS industries. We believe talented people should not have to commute to deliver exceptional service, which is why our entire support team works from home across Canada. We are actively hiring a part-time Virtual Customer Service Representative to join our expanding remote workforce.

In this role you will be the voice and text presence of our client brands, helping their customers resolve issues, place orders, and navigate their products. You will handle inquiries through phone, live chat, and email depending on client assignment. Full paid training is provided before you go live — no prior call-centre experience is required, though it is certainly an asset.

A Typical Day Looks Like:

You log in from your home workstation, review any overnight product updates, and begin handling inbound contacts. You escalate complex cases to senior agents, document every interaction in the CRM, and close your shift by completing a brief quality self-review. Each shift runs between four and six hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone, chat, and email within defined SLA windows
  • Diagnose issues accurately and provide clear, empathetic resolutions on the first contact wherever possible
  • Log detailed notes for every customer interaction in Zendesk or Salesforce
  • Escalate billing disputes, technical faults, and complaints to the appropriate internal team
  • Follow brand-specific scripts and tone guidelines for each client account
  • Participate in weekly team huddles and product knowledge refreshers via video call
  • Meet or exceed quality assurance scores as reviewed monthly by your team lead
  • Identify recurring customer pain points and share feedback with the operations team

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a significant advantage
  • Quiet, dedicated home workspace with a reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps)
  • Personal computer or laptop running Windows 10 or macOS 11 or later
  • Comfortable navigating multiple software applications simultaneously
  • Available for at least three consistent shifts per week including one weekend day

What We Offer:

  • $18–$23/hr depending on client assignment and language skills
  • Paid onboarding training lasting one to two weeks
  • Monthly internet stipend of $30 to offset home office costs
  • Flexible shift scheduling built around your availability
  • Clear pathway to senior agent and quality analyst roles within six months
  • Supportive remote team culture with regular virtual social events

If you are a motivated communicator looking for flexible remote work in Canada, apply today through our portal. We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to respond within five business days.
