About This Role

L3Harris Technologies is hiring Associate Manufacturing Engineers to support production of electronic warfare systems, night vision devices, communication equipment, and space sensors for the US Department of Defense. Associate Manufacturing Engineers are embedded in product teams of 8–20 people, gaining rapid exposure to advanced manufacturing techniques including precision optics assembly, RF electronics, and high-reliability solder processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process instructions for defense electronics assemblies
  • Support printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), RF module, and electro-optical system manufacturing
  • Perform yield analysis and drive defect reduction through root cause investigation
  • Create and maintain PFMEAs and control plans in compliance with IPC and MIL-PRF standards
  • Coordinate new product introduction from engineering prototype to production baseline
  • Collaborate with test engineers to define and optimize functional test strategies
  • Support program milestone reviews and present manufacturing readiness status

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
  • Interest in electronics manufacturing, precision assembly, or electro-optical systems
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 solder and assembly standards is a bonus
  • Basic understanding of RF, optics, or sensor technology is helpful for specific sites
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in documentation
  • US citizenship required; must be eligible to obtain a Secret or TS/SCI security clearance depending on site
