About This Role

Honeywell is hiring Entry Level Manufacturing Engineers to support production of its aerospace avionics, industrial safety sensors, building automation hardware, and advanced materials. You will help design and optimize the processes behind products that are found in commercial aircraft cockpits, oil refineries, and smart buildings worldwide.

Role Context

Honeywell's manufacturing engineering teams operate at the site level, supporting one of three major business groups: Aerospace Technologies, Industrial Automation, or Building Automation. Entry-level engineers in Phoenix primarily support avionics and aircraft component manufacturing; Charlotte and Clearwater sites focus on safety sensors and electronic assemblies. Team sizes are typically 5–15 engineers per department, giving new hires direct access to experienced mentors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation including routers, work instructions, and PFMEAs
  • Provide engineering support for electronic and electromechanical assembly production lines
  • Lead defect analysis activities and implement corrective actions to improve first-pass yield
  • Qualify new manufacturing equipment and validate process changes
  • Support new product introduction from pilot build through full-rate production
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve throughput and reduce production cost
  • Coordinate with supply chain on component quality and incoming inspection criteria

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
  • Interest or experience in electronics assembly, PCB manufacturing, or precision manufacturing
  • Understanding of IPC standards (IPC-A-610 or IPC-J-STD) is a bonus for electronics roles
  • Familiarity with quality tools: SPC, FMEA, control plans, MSA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis; Python or SQL is a plus
  • US work authorization required; some roles require security clearance eligibility
