About This Role

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is hiring an Early Career Manufacturing Engineer in Arlington, Texas. You will support production of precision guided munitions and tactical missile systems on a 4x10 schedule — four 10-hour days with three days off each week — giving you strong work-life balance while working on some of the US military's most advanced weapon systems.

Role Context

The Arlington MFC site produces HIMARS, ATACMS, PAC-3, and Javelin systems. As an early career engineer, you will be embedded in a manufacturing cell and supported by a senior engineer mentor. Your work directly impacts deliverables on active DoD contracts, meaning schedule and quality accountability start early in your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and revise manufacturing process plans for guided weapons subsystems
  • Define tooling, fixturing, and assembly sequence requirements
  • Investigate production defects and drive root cause corrective actions
  • Support first article inspections and manufacturing readiness reviews
  • Analyze cycle time and labor data to identify line balance improvements
  • Interface with design engineering on producibility feedback and ECO implementation

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
  • Exposure to machining, electro-mechanical assembly, or electronics manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • US citizenship required; must be eligible for a Secret security clearance
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
