Tool Rental Associate – Hardware Store Canada

ToolMart Canada operates a busy tool rental desk and needs a knowledgeable Tool Rental Associate to help contractors and DIYers get the right equipment for their projects.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Process tool rental reservations, pickups, and returns
• Inspect returned equipment for damage and complete service checklist
• Demonstrate safe operation of rental tools to customers
• Maintain rental fleet — clean, service, and track equipment
• Upsell rental upgrades and related consumable products

Requirements

• Knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment
• Strong customer service skills — contractors can be demanding
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment inspection and maintenance
• Previous tool rental or hardware experience is a strong asset

Pay

• CAD $18–$24/hour
• Commissions on upsells and add-on rentals
