About This Role
SkyStack Cloud is looking for a Remote Cloud Support Engineer to help clients architect, deploy, and troubleshoot workloads on AWS, Azure, and GCP. This is a high-paying role open to candidates without a four-year degree — cloud certifications, hands-on lab experience, and a strong understanding of cloud fundamentals are what matter here. Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 cloud support to clients deploying workloads on AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms
- Diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure issues including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and serverless configurations
- Assist clients with cloud migration projects — assess on-premises environments, develop migration plans, and execute lift-and-shift or re-platform scenarios
- Automate cloud provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Monitor cloud cost utilisation, identify optimisation opportunities, and implement rightsizing or reserved instance recommendations
- Configure cloud security controls including VPC security groups, IAM policies, KMS encryption, and cloud SIEM integration
- Document cloud architectures, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides for client and internal knowledge bases
Required Skills and Qualifications
- No degree required — AWS, Azure, or GCP associate or professional certification required
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred)
- Working knowledge of Linux/Windows server administration, networking fundamentals, and scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
- Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills for explaining cloud concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
