About This Role
ClearPath Networks is hiring a Remote Network Technician to support the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure for our US client base. This is a well-paying technology job for candidates without a four-year degree who hold Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications and have real-world networking experience. Key Responsibilities
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points for enterprise clients via remote management tools
- Respond to network incidents and outages; perform root cause analysis and implement fixes within defined RTO/RPO targets
- Manage VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP basics), VPN tunnels, and QoS configurations for client environments
- Monitor network performance and capacity using SNMP-based monitoring platforms; identify and report trending issues proactively
- Maintain accurate network documentation including topology diagrams, IP address management records, and change logs
- Work with vendors and ISPs to coordinate circuit installations, upgrades, and circuit-level fault resolution
- Support new site buildouts by configuring and testing network equipment before handover to client IT teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
- No bachelor's degree required — Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Hands-on experience configuring Cisco IOS, Juniper, or Fortinet network devices
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, spanning tree, and common routing protocols
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix) and ticketing systems
- Ability to work independently, prioritise concurrent network issues, and communicate clearly with clients
