About This Role
SecureAxis Corp is hiring a Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to protect our clients' networks, systems, and data from ever-evolving cyber threats. This high-paying tech role is open to candidates without a four-year degree — what matters most is your practical knowledge of security tools, threat analysis, and your ability to respond fast under pressure. If you hold certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP and have hands-on cybersecurity experience, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) platforms for suspicious activity, anomalies, and potential breaches across client environments
- Investigate, triage, and document security incidents; coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery steps with IT and leadership teams
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on networks, web applications, and endpoints; prioritise findings by risk level
- Review and harden firewall rules, access control lists, and network segmentation configurations to reduce the attack surface
- Develop and update security policies, incident response runbooks, and threat intelligence reports for internal and client stakeholders
- Perform security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns for client organisations
- Stay current on emerging threats, CVEs, malware campaigns, and zero-day exploits through threat intelligence feeds and community resources
Required Skills and Qualifications
- No bachelor's degree required — equivalent experience and certifications accepted
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, OSCP, or equivalent cybersecurity certification strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel), endpoint detection tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and network monitoring
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewall management, and Windows/Linux security hardening
- Familiarity with NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS Controls frameworks
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
