Role Context

TCS runs one of the largest entry-level IT hiring programs in the world, including dedicated US campus recruitment. New hires undergo a structured 4–6 week training program covering Java, SQL, Agile methodology, and TCS delivery frameworks before being placed on client accounts. You will work within delivery teams of 10–30 engineers, typically supporting a Fortune 500 client in the financial services or healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application modules in Java, .NET, Python, or COBOL for client systems
• Write test cases and execute functional, regression, and performance testing
• Participate in daily standups and sprint reviews under senior engineer guidance
• Document defects and resolutions in Jira and update project wikis in Confluence
• Support data migration and system integration tasks during client go-lives
• Complete assigned TCS iEvolve learning modules and certification tracks

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline
• Programming knowledge in Java, Python, C#, or SQL
• Basic understanding of SDLC, version control (Git), and software testing
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• US work authorization required
• Willingness to relocate to a TCS US delivery center if needed
