Databricks
Databricks is hiring Software Engineers through its New Grad program for a 2026 start. You will join one of the fastest-growing data and AI companies in the world, building the Databricks Lakehouse Platform — the infrastructure layer that powers AI and analytics workloads for thousands of enterprises.
New grad engineers at Databricks join the core platform, runtime, or product engineering teams and work directly on distributed data systems that process trillions of records daily. Databricks engineers operate with a high degree of autonomy — there are no formal new grad rotations. You will be embedded in a team of 5–10 engineers tackling real system design challenges from week one.
You are a recent graduate with a genuine interest in distributed systems, data engineering, or platform infrastructure. You are comfortable with technical ambiguity, enjoy reading research papers for fun, and want to work on a product that sits at the center of the AI and data infrastructure stack. Databricks rewards engineers who take initiative and think beyond their immediate task.
Databricks created the Lakehouse architecture and is the primary commercial backer of Apache Spark and Delta Lake. Valued at over $62 billion, the company serves more than 10,000 enterprise customers including Shell, Comcast, and Regeneron. Its engineering culture prizes technical depth, ownership, and a direct connection between the work you do and measurable business outcomes.
Apply directly via the Databricks careers page for the Software Engineer New Grad (2026 Start) role. The interview process includes a technical phone screen, a distributed systems or algorithms coding round, and a final virtual onsite with system design and behavioral components.
