Warehouse Associate – Industrial Distribution (New Grad) – Grainger

We are hiring New Grad Warehouse Associates at Grainger's Lake Forest, IL headquarters distribution campus.
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack industrial MRO orders for Grainger's business and government customers — selecting from 1M+ SKUs of industrial products using Grainger's RF scanner and pick-to-light systems
- Process inbound industrial product receipts — receiving shipments from Grainger's 5,000+ supplier network, scanning items into inventory, and putting away in correct locations
- Handle diverse industrial products including heavy equipment, motors, safety gear, electrical supplies, and hazardous materials following Grainger's product-specific handling procedures
- Operate electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order selectors in Grainger's multi-level distribution center
- Support Grainger's same-day and next-day delivery commitment — achieving Grainger's speed-to-ship KPIs for industrial customer order fulfillment
- Conduct inventory cycle counts across Grainger's broad industrial SKU base maintaining location accuracy
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and handle industrial products including large, heavy equipment
- Basic knowledge of industrial products, hand tools, or maintenance supplies is a plus
- Forklift certification or willingness to complete Grainger's internal training
- RF scanner and WMS proficiency; Grainger provides complete on-the-job training
