We are hiring New Grad Warehouse Associates for Sysco's foodservice distribution network.
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound food and foodservice product deliveries from Sysco's supplier network — unloading dry, refrigerated, and frozen product, verifying temperatures and quantities
- Select (pick) outbound restaurant and foodservice customer orders using voice-directed selection systems in Sysco's ambient, cooler, and freezer pick environments
- Handle fresh proteins, produce, and dairy products following Sysco's HACCP food safety protocols and FDA food handling requirements
- Operate electric pallet jacks and reach trucks to move product through Sysco's foodservice distribution center
- Stage outbound pallets for Sysco's delivery drivers on Sysco's tight overnight delivery schedules to restaurants and hospitality customers
- Maintain Sysco's food safety standards — temperature logging, product rotation (FIFO), and sanitation procedures throughout all warehouse areas
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in Sysco's multi-temperature foodservice warehouse (ambient, 34°F cooler, -10°F freezer zones)
- Voice-directed picking experience preferred; Sysco provides full training
- Food handler's certification; Sysco provides FSMA food safety training
- Availability for Sysco's overnight warehouse shift (Sysco delivers to restaurants before opening time, requiring overnight pick operations)
