The Home Depot

Full-time Onsite United States

Job Description

Distribution Center Associate (New Grad) – The Home Depot

The Home Depot (NYSE: HD) is the world's largest home improvement retailer with $150B+ in annual revenues, operating 2,300+ stores and 100+ distribution and fulfillment facilities across North America. Home Depot's supply chain network — one of the most sophisticated in retail — includes flatbed distribution centers for lumber and building materials, bulk distribution centers for large appliances, and stocking distribution centers for general merchandise. Home Depot has invested $1.3B+ in supply chain transformation to power same-day and next-day delivery of 2M+ SKUs to customers and Pro contractors. We are hiring New Grad Distribution Center Associates for Home Depot's expanding distribution network.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound freight from Home Depot's global vendor base — unloading containers, verifying purchase orders, and processing receipts in Home Depot's WMS
  • Pick and stage outbound store replenishment orders and Home Depot.com customer deliveries across Home Depot's building materials, hardware, and appliance categories
  • Operate powered industrial equipment including stand-up reach trucks, order selectors, and electric pallet jacks throughout Home Depot's high-bay distribution center
  • Handle oversized building materials — lumber, doors, windows, and appliances — following Home Depot's product-specific material handling procedures
  • Load outbound trailers to Home Depot stores and direct-to-customer delivery vehicles following Home Depot's load quality and damage prevention standards
  • Support Home Depot's inventory accuracy program — cycle counting and reconciling WMS inventory against physical on-hand counts

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs and handle large, bulky building materials safely
  • RF scanner proficiency; Home Depot provides full WMS and equipment training
  • Forklift certification or willingness to complete Home Depot's internal certification
  • Availability for Home Depot's shift operations including nights and weekends

Benefits

  • $16–$22/hr starting wage
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Home Depot 401(k) with 3.5% company match
  • Home Depot FutureBuilder — employee stock purchase plan
  • 15% associate discount at Home Depot stores
