Distribution Center Associate (New Grad)

Walmart

Full-time Onsite United States

Job Description

Distribution Center Associate (New Grad) – Walmart

Walmart is the world's largest retailer with $650B+ in annual revenues, operating 4,700+ US stores and 42 regional distribution centers that move $1 billion worth of merchandise every single day. Walmart's supply chain network — the largest private logistics operation in North America — is what keeps shelves stocked across America at Everyday Low Prices. Walmart's distribution centers are massive, technology-forward facilities using conveyor systems, RFID scanning, automated sortation, and warehouse management systems (WMS) to process millions of units weekly. We are hiring New Grad Distribution Center Associates to join Walmart's world-class supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound freight from Walmart's vendor network — unloading trailers, verifying shipment quantities against purchase orders, and scanning items into Walmart's WMS
  • Pick, pack, and stage outbound store replenishment orders — selecting merchandise from reserve storage locations and preparing pallets for store delivery trucks
  • Operate powered industrial equipment including stand-up reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, and order selectors to move product throughout the distribution center
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts — participating in cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining location accuracy in Walmart's warehouse management system
  • Load outbound trailers to Walmart stores following load quality standards — proper stacking, weight distribution, and load security for transit
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment following Walmart's safety policies, OSHA standards, and housekeeping procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; college degree is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment
  • Basic math and reading skills for order verification and WMS data entry
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain during Walmart's training program
  • Availability for Walmart's rotating shift schedule (day, evening, or night shifts)

Benefits

  • $16–$21/hr starting wage with annual performance reviews
  • Walmart's industry-leading benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance from Day 1
  • Walmart 401(k) with 6% company match
  • Associate stock purchase plan with 15% company match
  • 10% employee discount at Walmart and Sam's Club
  • Walmart Live Better U — 100% paid college tuition at partner universities
