Responsibilities
- Learn and manage all aspects of service center operations including dock, pickup, and delivery
- Supervise dock employees and drivers to maximize productivity and safety
- Monitor freight flow to ensure timely loading, unloading, and manifesting
- Maintain Old Dominion's high on-time and damage-free delivery standards
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve service issues promptly
- Track metrics including productivity, load average, and claim ratios
- Participate in OD's formal management development training curriculum
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Management, or related field
- New graduates encouraged to apply; prior freight experience a plus
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn LTL operations from the ground up
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed
- Valid driver's license
