McKinsey's Operations practice is one of the firm's largest globally — advising clients on supply chain transformation, procurement excellence, manufacturing performance, and digital operations. McKinsey India's Operations & SCM team works on engagements spanning supply chain network redesign, digital supply chain strategy, procurement transformation, and advanced manufacturing across global clients in consumer goods, industrial, pharmaceutical, and retail sectors. McKinsey Business Analysts are thrown deep into the most complex supply chain strategic challenges from Day 1 — structuring problems, building analytical models, synthesizing insights, and presenting recommendations directly to client C-suite executives within weeks of joining. Key Responsibilities

• Structure and decompose complex supply chain strategic problems using McKinsey's issue-tree and MECE frameworks
• Build sophisticated quantitative models — supply chain network optimization, total cost of ownership analysis, inventory optimization, and procurement value-at-stake assessments
• Conduct primary research — client interviews, expert panels, supplier surveys, and benchmarking studies
• Synthesize insights from data and primary research into strategic recommendations for supply chain transformation
• Prepare client-ready presentations communicating supply chain strategy insights to executive leadership teams
• Support implementation engagements — helping clients execute supply chain transformation programs and track financial impact delivery

Requirements & Skills

• MBA from a world-class institution (IIM A/B/C, ISB, XLRI, or equivalent global top-10 MBA) — 2025/2026 batch
• Exceptional structured problem-solving ability — McKinsey's selection process is among the most rigorous in the world
• Strong quantitative skills — advanced Excel and financial modelling; Python or R for analytics is a significant advantage
• Outstanding English communication — written and verbal — for executive-level presentation environments
• Supply chain domain knowledge from prior work experience or MBA specialization is valued but not required
• Demonstrated leadership and impact in prior academic, professional, or extracurricular environments
