SCM Analyst – Operations & Planning

About This Role

PepsiCo India is hiring fresh graduates as SCM Analysts (Operations & Planning) within its Supply Chain function. You will support demand planning, production planning, and logistics operations for PepsiCo's India food and beverage portfolio — including Lay's, Kurkure, Quaker, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Tropicana, and Gatorade — contributing to supply chain efficiency for one of India's most recognized consumer brands.

Role Context

PepsiCo India operates 50+ manufacturing plants producing snacks and beverages distributed through 4 million+ retail outlets across India. PepsiCo India's SCM function manages one of the most complex FMCG supply chains in India — combining chilled beverage logistics, ambient snacks distribution, agri-sourcing from potato and corn farms, and co-manufacturer network management. SCM Analysts join PepsiCo's demand planning or logistics teams — working within PepsiCo's IBP (Integrated Business Planning) framework and SAP APO platform to deliver supply chain plans that balance consumer demand, manufacturing capacity, and raw material availability across PepsiCo's diverse India category portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop statistical demand forecasts for assigned PepsiCo India categories using SAP APO or Kinaxis — incorporating promotional, seasonal, and new product inputs
• Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) S&OP process — demand review preparation, supply constraint identification, and consensus planning coordination
• Coordinate production planning with PepsiCo manufacturing plants and co-manufacturers — capacity allocation and production scheduling
• Manage inventory positioning — safety stock calculations, reorder point management, and depot stock coverage for assigned categories
• Monitor supply chain KPIs — OTIF, forecast accuracy (MAPE), fill rate, and inventory turnover
• Support agri-sourcing coordination — potato and corn procurement tracking, crop quality reporting, and seasonal supply planning

Requirements & Skills

• MBA (Operations/SCM) from a premier institute or B.E./B.Tech (Industrial/Mechanical) — 2024/2025 batch
• Strong statistical and analytical skills — Excel, SAP APO, or demand planning tool experience is valued
• Understanding of FMCG supply chain — demand planning, IBP/S&OP, inventory management, and distributor logistics
• Good English communication skills for cross-functional and IBP process coordination
• Interest in agri-supply chain and food production is a bonus
