About This Role

Siemens India is hiring fresh graduates as SCM Graduate Trainees within its Supply Chain Management function. You will work across procurement, supplier quality, and logistics operations in Siemens' India manufacturing and project business — contributing to supply chain reliability for one of India's largest industrial technology companies.

Job Overview

Role Context

Siemens India operates factories, R&D centers, and project offices across India — manufacturing low-voltage switchgear, transformers, drives, automation systems, and medical imaging equipment. Siemens' SCM function manages procurement, supplier quality management, and logistics across India manufacturing plants and major infrastructure project sites. SCM Graduate Trainees rotate across procurement and logistics — learning Siemens' globally standardized supply chain processes, SAP-based purchasing workflows, and supplier qualification standards within a German engineering culture known for precision and process discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Support strategic and operational procurement — RFQ preparation, supplier negotiations, purchase order management, and delivery scheduling in SAP MM
• Monitor supplier delivery performance — on-time delivery, fill rate, and supplier scorecards for assigned category portfolios
• Assist in supplier qualification and development — conducting factory visits, capability assessments, and tracking improvement action plans
• Coordinate inbound logistics — inbound freight tracking, customs clearance coordination, and goods receipt verification
• Support material requirements planning — monitoring stock levels, calculating safety stock, and raising purchase requisitions for assigned components
• Participate in cost reduction projects — should-cost analysis, value engineering workshops, and total cost of ownership reviews

Requirements & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering) or MBA (Operations/SCM) — 2024/2025 batch
• SAP MM knowledge is a strong advantage
• Excel proficiency for supplier data and cost analysis
• Understanding of manufacturing procurement — strategic sourcing, supplier management, and inbound logistics
• Knowledge of industrial components — electrical, mechanical, or electronic parts — is advantageous
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail for technical specification management
