Bosch India is hiring fresh engineering and management graduates as SCM Trainees (Procurement & Logistics) within its Supply Chain Management function. You will work on procurement, supplier management, and inbound logistics operations for Bosch's India manufacturing plants — supporting the supply chain that underpins one of India's largest and most technically sophisticated automotive and industrial components manufacturers.

Role Context

Bosch India operates 18 manufacturing plants across India producing automotive components, power tools, security systems, and industrial equipment for Indian and global OEM customers. Bosch's SCM function manages a complex multi-tier supplier base of 1,500+ Indian vendors alongside global sourcing from Germany, China, and Southeast Asia. SCM Trainees join Bosch's purchasing or logistics teams — learning to manage supplier relationships, negotiate component costs, monitor delivery performance, and coordinate inbound logistics across Bosch's India supply chain. Bosch's strong engineering culture, global supply chain standards, and SAP-based ERP environment make this one of the most technically rigorous SCM learning environments for freshers in India's manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Support strategic sourcing activities — supplier identification, RFQ preparation, bid evaluation, and supplier negotiation for assigned component categories
• Monitor and report supplier performance KPIs — on-time delivery, quality PPM, fill rate, and cost variance for the assigned supplier portfolio
• Coordinate supplier development activities — visiting supplier facilities, conducting capability assessments, and tracking corrective action plans
• Manage purchase order processing, delivery scheduling, and goods receipt coordination in SAP MM
• Track inbound logistics performance — inbound freight cost, transit time compliance, and customs clearance efficiency for import shipments
• Support material planning — safety stock calculations, reorder point management, and shortage prevention for assigned components

Requirements & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering) or MBA (Operations/SCM) — 2024/2025 batch
• Understanding of manufacturing supply chain — procurement, supplier management, material planning, and inbound logistics
• SAP MM module knowledge is a strong advantage
• Excel proficiency for supplier data analysis and KPI reporting
• Strong negotiation aptitude and supplier relationship management interest
• Knowledge of automotive industry quality standards (IATF 16949, PPAP) is advantageous
