About This Role

IBM India is hiring fresh graduates as Supply Chain Consultants within its IBM Consulting practice. You will work on supply chain transformation engagements for IBM's global enterprise clients — helping manufacturers, retailers, and consumer goods companies redesign their supply chain processes and implement SAP, Sterling, or IBM Planning Analytics technology platforms to improve supply chain resilience, visibility, and efficiency.

Role Context

IBM Consulting's Supply Chain practice helps global enterprises build more resilient, intelligent, and sustainable supply chains — combining process transformation consulting with SAP, IBM Sterling, and AI-driven planning technology implementations. Supply Chain Consultants join project teams delivering end-to-end supply chain transformation engagements: from process design workshops and current-state assessments to SAP S/4HANA supply chain module configuration and go-live support. IBM's consulting model means freshers work across multiple client engagements in their first 2–3 years — building supply chain domain knowledge across manufacturing, retail, FMCG, and logistics sectors simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Support supply chain assessment engagements — documenting current-state processes (as-is mapping), identifying gaps, and structuring to-be process redesign recommendations
• Assist in SAP S/4HANA supply chain module implementation — requirements gathering, configuration documentation, and user acceptance testing support
• Build client-facing deliverables — process maps, gap analysis reports, solution design documents, and project status presentations
• Conduct supply chain data analysis — spend analytics, inventory optimization studies, demand forecasting assessments, and transportation network reviews
• Support implementation of IBM Planning Analytics or IBM Sterling for demand planning or order management transformation projects
• Assist in change management — user training materials, SOPs, and system cutover documentation for supply chain technology deployments

Requirements & Skills

• MBA (Operations/SCM) or B.E./B.Tech (Industrial/Computer Science) — 2024/2025 batch
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
• Excel and PowerPoint proficiency at an advanced level for consulting deliverable preparation
• SAP or ERP system knowledge is a strong advantage; IBM certifications in SAP or Supply Chain Analytics are valued
• Understanding of supply chain processes — planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and S&OP
• Good English communication skills for client engagement environments
