Job Overview

Role Context

HUL's supply chain serves 8 million+ retail outlets across India — one of the most complex FMCG distribution networks in the world. SCM Graduate Trainees join HUL's prestigious Future Leaders Programme (FLP) within the Supply Chain function, rotating through planning, procurement, manufacturing, and customer logistics over 18–24 months before taking a full manager role. HUL's SCM function is globally benchmarked through Unilever's worldwide supply chain community — giving India-based trainees access to global best practice frameworks, SAP and o9 planning tools, and one of the most respected supply chain development programs in the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Rotation 1 – Demand Planning: Develop statistical forecasts for HUL's product portfolio using o9 and SAP APO; coordinate S&OP inputs from Sales and Marketing
• Rotation 2 – Procurement: Support raw material and packaging sourcing — vendor negotiations, lead time management, and supplier quality monitoring
• Rotation 3 – Manufacturing: Coordinate production scheduling, material requirements planning (MRP), and factory throughput optimization at HUL plants
• Rotation 4 – Customer Logistics: Optimize order fulfilment, distributor stock management, and last-mile delivery efficiency for HUL's retail network
• Lead a live business improvement project delivering measurable impact during the FLP rotation period
• Develop mastery of HUL's supply chain KPIs — OTIF, forecast accuracy, inventory days, waste reduction, and cost per case

Requirements & Skills

• MBA (Operations/SCM) from a premier B-school — 2025/2026 batch (IIMs, XLRI, SPJIMR, MDI, ISB preferred)
• Strong analytical ability — Excel, basic SQL; SAP knowledge is a bonus
• Understanding of FMCG supply chain — demand planning, inventory management, procurement, and distribution
• Leadership potential — HUL FLP is designed to develop future supply chain directors
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional coordination
