Data Science Associate – ZS Associates

We are hiring Data Science Associates in Evanston to build pharma commercial analytics models for ZS's global life sciences clients.
Responsibilities
- Build pharmaceutical sales force optimization models — developing territory design algorithms, call plan optimization, and incentive compensation analytics for pharma sales teams
- Develop drug launch forecasting models integrating epidemiology data, prescription claims, payer coverage, and competitive dynamics for ZS's pharmaceutical launch consulting projects
- Build physician segmentation and targeting models using prescription data, specialty claims, and digital engagement data to identify high-potential HCP targets for pharma sales reps
- Analyze patient journey analytics from claims data — mapping patient treatment pathways from diagnosis through medication initiation, persistence, and switch for ZS's pharma clients
- Develop marketing mix models measuring the ROI of pharma marketing channels (personal promotion, digital, professional education, DTC advertising) on prescription volume
- Present data science findings and strategic recommendations to VP and C-suite audiences at global pharmaceutical companies
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, or Business Analytics
- Strong statistical modeling and optimization skills — GLMs, mixed models, linear programming
- Python and R proficiency; SAS or SQL experience is also valued
- Interest in pharmaceutical and healthcare commercial analytics
- Excellent quantitative problem-solving and consulting communication skills
