- Analyze clinical trial data from AstraZeneca's oncology pipeline — building statistical models evaluating treatment efficacy, safety signals, and biomarker-response relationships
- Develop machine learning models for patient stratification — identifying genomic, proteomic, and clinical biomarkers predicting response to AstraZeneca's oncology therapies
- Process and analyze real-world evidence (RWE) datasets from electronic health records, claims databases, and tumor registries to supplement clinical trial findings
- Build survival analysis models (Kaplan-Meier, Cox proportional hazards, parametric survival) for oncology clinical endpoints including overall survival and progression-free survival
- Collaborate with AstraZeneca's biostatisticians and clinical scientists to support FDA regulatory submissions with data science analyses
- Develop NLP pipelines extracting structured cancer patient data from clinical notes and pathology reports for real-world evidence studies
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or Computational Biology
- Strong statistical skills — survival analysis, mixed models, Bayesian methods for clinical data
- Python and R proficiency for statistical analysis and ML model development
- Familiarity with genomics data (NGS, RNA-seq, TCGA), clinical trial design, or oncology biology
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for clinical data analysis (ICH E9, FDA guidance documents)
