Associate Solutions Architect – New Grad – Amazon Web Services (AWS)

AWS Solutions Architects are the technical advisors who help customers architect, design, and build cloud solutions on AWS infrastructure. AWS's Associate Solutions Architect (ASA) program is a structured 12-month development program that trains new graduates to become trusted cloud advisors — combining technical training, customer engagement, and AWS certification preparation. We are hiring New Grad Associate Solutions Architects at AWS headquarters in Seattle.
Responsibilities
- Design cloud architecture solutions for AWS customers — recommending the right mix of EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, and 200+ AWS services to meet customer requirements for scalability, reliability, and cost
- Conduct technical discovery with customer engineering teams — understanding current-state on-premises infrastructure and designing AWS migration architectures
- Build proof-of-concept AWS architectures — deploying solutions using CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK to demonstrate cloud design patterns to customer technical teams
- Develop customer architecture diagrams, technical white papers, and Well-Architected Review reports evaluating customer cloud deployments against AWS best practices
- Complete AWS certification curriculum — AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Developer, and SysOps Administrator certifications during the ASA development program
- Present technical cloud architecture proposals to customer CTOs, engineers, and IT decision-makers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (2024/2025 graduate)
- Understanding of cloud computing fundamentals — networking, compute, storage, databases, and security
- Programming or scripting experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript for cloud automation
- Familiarity with AWS services, cloud architecture patterns, or infrastructure as code is a plus
- Strong communication skills for technical and executive-level customer presentations
