Data Engineer – Cloud Analytics (Associate)

About This Role

Teradata India is hiring Associate Data Engineers for its Teradata Vantage Cloud Analytics platform team. Teradata is the world's leading enterprise analytics company. You will build cloud data engineering features for Vantage on AWS, Azure, and GCP — developing the SQL analytics engine, data connectors, and cloud data warehouse capabilities used by the world's top banks, retailers, and telecoms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data connectors and ETL frameworks for Teradata Vantage on cloud using Python and Java
• Build NOS (Native Object Store) query capabilities connecting Teradata Vantage to S3, ADLS, and GCS data lakes
• Write and optimise complex Teradata SQL (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad) and Python scripts
• Implement data migration tools for Teradata on-premises to Vantage Cloud migration projects
• Develop Teradata QueryGrid connectors bridging Vantage with Spark, Hive, and Presto analytics engines
• Build data pipeline monitoring dashboards and performance benchmarking frameworks

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or related field from a reputed institution (2025/2026 batch)
• Strong SQL skills; Teradata SQL or database internals knowledge is advantageous
• Python programming proficiency; Java experience is a plus
• Understanding of distributed databases, query optimisation, and data warehouse architecture
• Interest in database internals, query engines, and cloud-native analytics infrastructure
