Data Engineer – Decision Analytics Associate

About This Role

ZS Associates India is hiring Decision Analytics Associates specialising in Data Engineering. ZS is a global management consulting and technology firm specialising in life sciences and pharmaceuticals. You will build data pipelines processing prescription data, sales force effectiveness metrics, and clinical trial datasets for global pharma companies like Pfizer, Novartis, and AstraZeneca.

Key Responsibilities

• Build data ingestion pipelines for pharma commercial datasets: IQVIA, Symphony Health, and specialty pharmacy data
• Develop Python and PySpark ETL jobs processing prescription, sales, and patient journey data
• Design data warehouse schemas in Snowflake for sales force effectiveness and market analytics
• Implement data quality validation frameworks for regulated pharma data environments (HIPAA, GDPR)
• Write complex SQL for sales territory alignment, incentive compensation, and promotional response analytics
• Build R and Python data transformation scripts for statistical analysis of clinical and commercial data

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field (2025/2026 batch)
• Strong SQL and Python skills; R programming experience is a plus
• Analytical rigour and attention to data accuracy in regulated data environments
• Interest in life sciences, pharmaceutical analytics, or healthcare data
• Good communication skills for client-facing consulting delivery
